About
In late 2019, the Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (WCADVSA) sent out a request for organizations to apply for a grant sponsored by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The grant’s aim is to provide communities with the tools to lead primary prevention efforts to reduce sexual violence in youth aged 12-24.
The Sublette County SAFV Task Force applied for and was granted the opportunity to introduce this initiative to Sublette County. In early 2020 the WCADVSA administered a poll to a cross-section of Sublette County residents.
The results of this survey showed SAFV that our county was ready to learn more about how to help end violence and promote healthy relationships. SAFV felt that the best people to lead this movement were the men and boys in our communities. Thus, the Thoughtful Concerned Citizens Committee (TCCC) was formed.
Through initiatives that focus on mentorship, healthy relationships, and men's health, TCCC hopes to accomplish our goals by giving our men and boys the right tools to tackle this issue. With their help, we can have communities free from violence.
